Physiotherapy must have a focus on proper assessment and diagnosis, quick and lasting pain relief, meaningful home exercises and advice, and measurable outcomes. There are several techniques I make use of that can be used for patients depending on their condition that can get them results. And these results can happen quickly, usually instantly! Also, treatment is generally gentle and I don't believe in using techniques that elicit pain. End of the day, physiotherapy should be delivering results in as little time as possible, and that is the goal of AcuPhysio.
Effective care must have a person’s physical and mental well-being as the centre of rehabilitation. AcuPhysio takes into account that a person's emotions, stress, trauma, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle may all contribute to a person's condition. We go into all these factors and address them with the goal of promoting as much healing as possible.
Patients and clients should understand that the physiotherapy clinic is a safe space where they are allowed to be vulnerable, where their concerns are heard and where their goals are discussed, prioritized and met, and their time and presence is valued and not rushed. Physiotherapy should be an enjoyable experience where you should actually be experiencing a positive change. I don't let patients leave until everyone of their questions are answered, their concerns addressed, and their needs met.
No one should suffer financially because they are in pain or need help. Good care is achieving goals and patient self-reliance in the least number of visits or in as little time as possible.
Information is laid out in an efficient manner that is easy to digest and understand and where no questions are left unanswered. I want to make sure that you understand what your condition is, and what our plan is to address it.
